MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 has once again solidified its position as a premier assembly point for the Turkish industry, having received formal recognition as a “Prestigious Fair” by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye. This endorsement underscores that MAKTEK Eurasia functions not only as a commercial platform but also as a credible, reputable, and strategically significant industrial exhibition on both national and international levels.

Organized by Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. in cooperation with the Machine Tools Industrialists and Business Association (TIAD) and supported by the Turkish Machine Manufacturers Association (MIB), the 9th Edition of the International MAKTEK Eurasia Fair will take place between September 28 and October 3, 2026, at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center. MAKTEK Eurasia, recognized as one of Türkiye’s premier events featuring high-value-added offerings in the domain of machine tools and production technologies, and awarded Prestigious Fair status, underscores that the exhibition is a robust and sustainable organization operating at international standards for both exhibitors and visitors. MAKTEK Eurasia Joins the Ranks of Prestigious Fairs
The inclusion of the fair among the list of exhibitions endorsed by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye presents a substantial opportunity for participating companies. Under the framework of this support, eligible companies may receive subsidies for participation expenses, including floor space (per square meter), stand construction, and space rental, covering up to 50% of the total incurred costs.

Entities operating within Türkiye that comply with the Ministry regulations and have finalized their payments following the execution of the fair participation contract are eligible to benefit from this support program. The support package encompasses floor space rental, as well as expenses related to construction and decoration. Applications may be submitted via the Support Management System (DYS) no later than three months following the conclusion of the event. It is important to note that the process is managed directly through the Central Anatolian Exporters’ Associations (OAIB), rather than by the event organizer, Tüyap.

MAKTEK Eurasia 2026: Setting Records Ahead of Its Opening
MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 distinctly illustrates its sector-specific strength and scale, even during the preliminary phases of its organizational process. Within the initial 45-day early-bird sales period, booth bookings reached an occupancy rate surpassing 70% of the total exhibition area.

This impressive performance underscores both the high retention rate of exhibitors and the growing interest from new companies. Current demand levels suggest that the exhibition will span all 14 exhibition halls entirely.
Currently, there are 44 international and 171 domestic firms on the waiting list, prompting the organizing committee to address demands for over 10,000 square meters of additional exhibition space. These statistics serve as empirical evidence reinforcing MAKTEK Eurasia’s assertion of being the foremost gathering for production technologies gathering, not only within Türkiye but throughout the entire Eurasian region.

Organized in cooperation with TIAD and supported by MIB, the 9th International MAKTEK Eurasia Machine Tools and Manufacturing Technologies Fair is set to take place at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul. The event will be open to attendees from 10:00 to 19:00 from September 28 to October 2, and from 10:00 to 18:00 on October 3. Amb preview: amb 2026's key events unveiled

New formats enrich the program. AMB provides new impetus to the entire metal cutting industry. As part of the AMB Preview, Messe Stuttgart presented a preview of AMB 2026, outlining the key events of the international metalworking trade fair. AMB will be held from September 15 to 19, 2026, at Messe Stuttgart's exhibition center. Industry interest remains high: approximately 1,150 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation, and the event spans all 10 halls. Approximately 31% of exhibiting companies come from abroad, and a total of 34 countries will be represented. The extensive supporting program includes over 107 events, with approximately 50 speakers. AMB: an unmissable event in the industry calendar for 2026 "The decision to participate in a trade fair as an exhibitor is no small feat. It requires investment, significant commitment, and represents a deliberate strategic choice. The fact that so many companies have chosen to participate is a clear demonstration of the trust placed in AMB. For over 40 years, AMB has been one of the leading international meeting points for the metal cutting industry, and for good reason: it's the place where the industry wants to meet," says Roland Bleinroth, Managing Director of Messe Stuttgart. Other events on the agenda: from innovation to young talents The Start-up Area, located at the East Entrance, will offer an overview of the latest ideas, technologies, and innovative solutions, while the AMB Award will recognize the most significant innovations and technological developments presented at the fair. The special training show, organized by the Nachwuchsstiftung Maschinenbau and set up in the East Entrance atrium, will make technology a tangible experience: visitors will be able to experience CNC, automation, and digital manufacturing applications firsthand. Ucimu: orders index for the second quarter of 2026 still down (-25.8%); foreign orders (-15.3%); dom

Riccardo Rosa, president of UCIMU: "We'll have to wait until the next few months to see the full effects of the hyper-depreciation, but we're very confident this measure will last until September 2028." In the second quarter of 2026, the machine tool orders index compiled by the UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE Study & Business Culture Centre recorded a decline of -25.8% compared to the April-June 2025 period . In absolute value, the index stood at 47.8 (base 100 in 2021). The result expresses the difficulties that Italian machine tool manufacturers have encountered both on the domestic and foreign markets. In particular, orders collected from abroad decreased by -15.3% compared to the second quarter of 2025, for an absolute value of 63.2. Order intake in Italy also declined , falling 38.7% compared to the same period of the previous year. The absolute value of the index stood at 33.1. Riccardo Rosa, president of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, stated: “The uncertainty of the geopolitical context—shaken by wars, the Hormuz crisis, and the decidedly worrying attitude of the President of the United States toward international politics—has profoundly undermined the already precarious balance in which the industry found itself operating.” "The decline in international deliveries, given the current situation, is understandable, and we expected it. Business has slowed, but, as is our custom, we've tried to focus our offerings on those areas less directly affected by conflicts and critical issues, diversifying our product offerings wherever possible." "It is certain ," continued President Riccardo Rosa , " that the investment figures and values once ensured by the automotive industry cannot be replaced by the demand expressed by other sectors, however dynamic, such as defense, aerospace, and energy. For this reason, once again, we ask our representatives in Europe to reconsider their decision and adopt the principle of technological neutrality when defining automotive development plans. This approach would allow the industry, and its entire supply chain, to properly manage the ongoing transition, not only respecting the environment but also safeguarding, where possible, employment." Domestically, businesses awaited clarifications on the hyper-depreciation program to confirm their purchasing intentions. Since June 12th, the day all the operational steps were completed, the hyper-depreciation program has been bearing fruit. We immediately noticed a change in attitude among Italian users: orders are starting to arrive. "We'll have to wait a few more months, however, for the effect to be fully reflected in our data, but we're definitely confident. This is also because, in the meantime, we have data from the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, which, as of July 9th, reported the submission of 7,000 communications on the GSE platform, worth €2.5 billion." MIMIT deserves great credit for having established a multi-year term for this incentive. Its effectiveness until September 2028 should ensure thoughtful planning of investments in new machine tools and production technologies by Italian customers, also allowing us manufacturers to plan our production activities over the medium term. "The hope ," concluded Riccardo Rosa , " is to soon see the Italian market return to the levels it experienced in 2021-2022, when it was worth over €6 billion. This is also because our manufacturing industry needs to innovate to remain competitive in an international context where digital and AI are completely reshaping the rules of the game."
